St. John Bosco Catholic School

St. John Bosco Catholic School A Pre-K–8 Catholic school in Phoenix dedicated to educating the whole child in a loving community where faith is formed and leaders are born. St.

John Bosco students are prepared for life mentally, physically and spiritually. Our graduates go on to attend some of the finest high schools in Phoenix including Brophy College Preparatory, Xavier College Preparatory and Seton Catholic Preparatory High School. In fact, 99% of our graduates are accepted into their first choice of high schools. In order to maintain this placement rate, St. John Bos

co Catholic School works to stay at the forefront of education by incorporating technology, foreign language, music and art programs into curriculum for students as young as Preschool. Our classrooms are equipped with OneScreens and with one to one Chromebooks for all Grades. 6th - 8th grades take home their devices allowing them to take advantage of the technology at home and in the classroom. John Bosco also has a dedicated STEM room for all classrooms to use. What is most important is your child receives what he or she needs to advance and be challenged through their years. According to the NWEA and Iowa Tests of Basic Skills administered in all Catholic schools in the nation, St. John Bosco students, on average, are reading two and three grade levels higher than 8th grade by the time they graduate. According to the criteria for Blue Ribbon School Award, St. John Bosco School scores place us in the top 15% of the schools in the nation. Approximately one-third of the students between grades 2nd and 8th test in the gifted range in at least one academic area. Students with these gifts are supported with a variety of strategies including Accelerated Reader, IXL, and project-based learning. The school employs both a resource teacher and advanced math teacher along with their classroom teachers to help meet the needs of all learners and help each student reach their maximum potential.

Our 1st graders did a beautiful job leading our Friday Mass as we honored our Blessed Mother during our May Crowning. 🌸💙

With reverence and joy, they helped guide us in prayer and closed the celebration with a heartfelt song to Mary—a truly special moment for our school community. Thank you, 1st grade, for reminding us of the beauty of faith and devotion!

A truly special evening at our 8th Grade Pastor–Principal Dinner 💙✨

We are so grateful to our parish volunteers for the beautiful décor, delicious dinner, thoughtful set-up, and all the little touches that made the night so meaningful.

It was a joy to spend these precious final moments together with our 8th graders—celebrating their journey, their growth, and the incredible young leaders they have become. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog! 🐾

There’s nothing sweeter than seeing our oldest and youngest Bulldogs learning and growing together! 💙💛

Our PK students had the best time partnering with their 8th grade buddies—spending time outside, creating colorful chalk masterpieces, and sharing lots of smiles and laughter along the way. Moments like these are what make our SJB community so special—where friendships are built, leadership is modeled, and joy is shared across every grade level.

This is what it means to be a Bulldog… “Where faith is formed and leaders are born.” 🐾✨
