Take in the Red Bandanna game with the BC Chapter in downtown Phoenix!

BC vs. Rutgers
Friday, September 11 @ 4:30 p.m. Arizona time
Tom's Watch Bar
3 South Second Street, #117, Phoenix

BC dropped its first game on the road against Cincinnati, and now returns home for a must-win game against Rutgers out of the Big 10. The game is BC's annual Red Bandanna game, which remembers BC graduate Welles Crowther, who became known as "the man in the red bandanna" after saving around a dozen lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. This year's Red Bandanna game will be held on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. On the field, BC will look to regroup behind new quarterback Mason McKenzie, who shook off some huge hits by Cincinnati defenders on his way to putting up more than 300 yards of offense, and running back Evan Dickens, who had a touchdown on Saturday.

Come join the Phoenix Chapter of the BC Alumni Association in downtown Phoenix at Tom's Watch Bar for this Friday evening game! Tom's will have a dedicated space for BC fans with the game on multiple screens and audio. Tom's is located in the space on Jefferson Street that was once the Hard Rock Cafe, across the street from Mortgage Matchup Center. Tom's will validate parking for two hours in the garage underneath the bar and the Collier Center complex (entry is off Washington Street, see below) and at any ACE parking lot downtown. Street parking and light rail are also options with many meters and two light rail stops nearby. Please reach out to Jim Gruber '98 with any questions. Friends and family are always welcome, and we hope to see you all there!

Watch the football season opener with us at a new location!

BC vs. Cincinnati
Saturday, September 5 @ 12:30 p.m. Arizona time
Tom's Watch Bar
3 South Second Street, #117, Phoenix

BC football opens the 2026 season on Saturday with a challenging matchup against the Cincinnati Bearcats out of the Big 12 Conference. BC is anxious to shake off last year's struggles and brought in nearly 50 new players between the transfer portal and freshmen recruits, including the new starting quarterback, Mason McKenzie from Division 2 Saginaw Valley State. With all the new faces, no one knows what to expect from this year's team until we see them on the field. That raises the stakes even higher for the season opener at Cincinnati.

Come join the Phoenix Chapter of the BC Alumni Association to catch the game at Tom's Watch Bar in downtown Phoenix! Tom's is a new location for gamewatches and offers a huge food and beverage menu and will have the game on with audio and multiple screens. Tom's is located in the space off Jefferson Street that once was home to the Hard Rock Cafe, and across the street from Mortgage Matchup Center. See the map below for details and let me know if you have any questions. There are several parking garages nearby (and Tom's will validate at least two hours at any ACE parking lot or garage) as well as metered street parking, and Tom's is also accessible from the Metro light rail system. Friends and family are always welcome, and we hope to see you all there!

Christmas Happy Hour
Thursday, December 18, 2025 @ 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. Arizona time
Rita's Cantina & Bar at JW Marriott Camelback Inn
5402 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley

Join the BC Phoenix Chapter next Thursday for the annual Christmas Happy Hour! We'll gather at the patio at Rita's Cantina & Bar at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn to celebrate the season and look forward to 2026. Enjoy the convenient parking at Camelback inn and head in the main entrance and go straight ahead (past Starbucks and Rita's inside seating) through the doors and out to the patio. Like last year, we plan to go outside to the patio to take in the mountain views, live music and the forecasted mild weather. Join us for a drink or stay a while and enjoy a meal. Either is great, we just want to get together with other Eagles and friends. As always, friends and family are more than welcome. RSVPs (to Jim Gruber '98 at [email protected]) are appreciated but certainly not required. Feel free to reach out to with any questions, and we hope to see you all there!

Gamewatch tomorrow in Scottsdale!

BC Football vs. Clemson
Saturday, October 11, 2025 @ 4:30 p.m. Arizona time
R.T. O'Sullivan's Sports Grill
7919 E. Thomas Road, Scottsdale [Please note we will meet at the Scottsdale location at the SW corner of Hayden and Thomas]

BC comes home to a sold-out Alumni Stadium looking to turn things around on the season with a win over Clemson. The Eagles will pin their hopes on sophomore quarterback Dylan Lonergan (nine touchdown passes and top-40 nationally in passing yards) and the possible return of several players who were injured and missed last week's ugly loss at Pitt. Clemson is 2-3 following a win over North Carolina last weekend.

Come join the BC Chapter to watch the game at R.T. O'Sullivan's in Scottsdale! Please note this gamewatch will be at the Scottsdale location of R.T. O'Sullivan's, and not the Phoenix location. R.T.'s will have the game on multiple TV screens with audio and will have food specials available for the late afternoon kickoff. As always, friends and family are always welcome and please let us know if you have any questions. Go Eagles!

Get your first look at the 2025 Eagles with us as we watch the season opener on Saturday!

BC football vs. Fordham
Saturday, August 30, 2025 @ 11 a.m. Arizona time
R.T. O'Sullivan's Sports Grill
7575 N. 16th Street, Phoenix

BC football kicks off the 2025 season with a home game against the Fordham Rams. The Eagles are led by second-year coach Bill O'Brien, the former head coach of Penn State and the NFL's Houston Texans and a long-time assistant with the New England Patriots under Bill Belichik. On the field the Eagles will look to new quarterback Dylan Lonergan, a transfer from Alabama, and senior wide receiver Lewis Bond, as well as a group of returnees in the defensive secondary, to lead the way. This matchup will be BC's 28th all-time game against Fordham, but its first in 71 years after the fellow Jesuit university dropped football for more than three decades.

Come join the BC Phoenix Chapter to watch this season-opening game at the new RT O'Sullivan's location in Phoenix. Most of you will remember the location as the old site of Gallaghers, where the chapter held gamewatches for many years. (Yes, it is kind confusing, so just make sure you go to the Phoenix location of RT O'Sullivan's on 16th Street between Glendale and Northern.) RTO's will have food and drink specials and this streaming-only game on multiple TVs with audio. As always, friends and family are welcome and please contact Jim Gruber '98 at [email protected] with any questions. Go Eagles!

Join us for the bowl game watch party at a (sort of) new location!

BC football vs. Nebraska (Pinstripe Bowl)
Saturday, December 28, 2024 @ 10 a.m. Arizona time
R.T. O'Sullivan's Sports Grill - Phoenix
7575 N. 16th Street, Phoenix

Yes, you read that right...R.T. O'Sullivan's has moved into the old Gallagher's location on 16th Street in Phoenix, and the BC Phoenix Chapter will check out the new place for this Saturday's gamewatch! BC has a chance to win eight games for the first time since 2009 when the Eagles take on Nebraska in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in New York City. The Eagles closed the season strong under new quarterback Grayson James, winning 3 of their final four games. BC will try to keep the momentum going into the offseason by getting a win over the Cornhuskers in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. R.T. O'Sullivan's will have the game on multiple TVs with audio, and will feature food and drink specials for this morning game. Join everyone as we close out 2024! Friends and family are always welcome, and contact Jim Gruber '98 at [email protected] with any questions. (Once again, we'll be in Phoenix on 16th Street just south of Northern...) Go Eagles!

Alumni from the Class of 1967 to 2022 (and everything in between) enjoyed a warm Arizona night on the patio at Camelback Inn last week for the annual Christmas Happy Hour. We welcomed some new friends and many familiar faces and especially enjoyed the return of Chapter Leader Emeritus Marty Ridge and his wife, Lynda. Merry Christmas to everyone!
