Scholarships are now available for the 27th Annual Summer Institute, held July 14–16 in Flagstaff, AZ 🌲 Eligible applicants may receive assistance covering conference registration costs thanks to support from Molina Healthcare and the Governor’s Office for Youth, Faith and Families. Attendees can earn up to 15 CEUs, with priority consideration given to professionals serving rural communities and small nonprofit organizations.

Michael Zubia’s commitment to helping others grew through lived experience, service and persistence. From serving in the U.S. Navy to returning home to Phoenix to finish his degree, he found his calling in helping others navigate life’s challenges.

Now, the School of Social Work’s spring 2026 Outstanding Graduate has earned his master’s degree while gaining hands-on experience connecting communities with vital resources through his internship with Sen. Mark Kelly’s office.
