I’m VERY excited about this course! Rob Henderson is an exceptionally good speaker with a very fascinating story. Here is a link to a podcast he did with Mikhaila Peterson which is very good and I would HIGHLY recommend it: https://youtu.be/wnnaBWbn4Z0?si=8snroVKA0XNB0xHf
Fun fact about me, I took Dr Jordan B Peterson’s personality test (https://www.understandmyself.com) and I scored in the 97th percentile for Extraversion. This is 1 of the personality traits in the five factor model. Using statistical analysis Dr. Peterson broke Extraversion into two aspects, Enthusiasm and Assertiveness. I scored in the 99th Percentile and the 85th percentile respectively.
I’m very excited for August 21st and will keep you all updated!
Do extraverts make more money?
Extraverts aren’t necessarily more talented or competent, they just put themselves out there. They're assertive and willing to be more sociable and seek social attention.
If you're an extravert and intelligent, aware, and agreeable, you can become a good leader.
Now, extraversion is just one ingredient. And it doesn't seem to have a lot of predictive power.
However, there was one study that found that among men, specifically, a one standard deviation increase in extraversion was associated with almost half a million dollars more throughout their careers. Again, this isn't to say that they're more competent or talented at their job.
But when you are assertive and put yourself out there, you're more likely to be open to these kinds of opportunities to be promoted.
