Flinn Scholars Program The Flinn Scholarship: One of the most prestigious scholarships in the nation for undergraduate study

This year, 20 of Arizona’s highest-achieving students will become Flinn Scholars, receiving an unparalleled package for undergraduate study that encompasses:

* tuition and room and board;
* funding for study abroad;
* opportunity to intern with an exciting Arizona company or organization;
* mentorship from brilliant faculty; and
* fellowship in an extraordinary community of current and alumni Scholars. The program, in partnership with Arizona’s three state universities, provides enriched educational offerings that expand Scholars’ life and career options and create the kind of stimulating, intellectually challenging environment that students might find at the nation’s most selective colleges. Total dollar value, including the cash value of tuition provided by the universities, exceeds $115,000. We believe, though, that the non-monetary benefits of becoming a Flinn Scholar are much, much more valuable.

Today marked the grand reopening of College Depot at Phoenix Public Library!

The ribbon-cutting brought together community leaders, partners, and public officials, including Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, to recognize this important resource for students and families.

Congratulations to the entire College Depot team on this exciting new chapter. Thank you for the important work you do to support students and families across Arizona!

Shaun Kirkpatrick’s college years coincided with a transformative moment in world history: the fall of communism in the Eastern Bloc. As a member of the second class of Flinn Scholars (1987), Shaun had the opportunity to explore, study abroad, and follow his passions at a time when those experiences were opening his eyes to a rapidly changing world.

Hear more about his journey, from the The University of Arizona to a biotech investment firm and the Flinn Foundation Board of Directors, in our latest Alumni Hour interview.

Nearly 700 alumni strong, our community stays in touch long after graduation — swapping career news, life updates, and hard-won advice. Recently, we asked alumni: "Looking back, what would you tell yourself going into your final year of undergrad?" Their answers are exactly the kind of advice we think this year's seniors, the Class of 2023, could use. Flip through the cards to read what they said.

2019 Flinn Scholar Jordan Harb's engagement with his class didn't end with graduation. From Bangkok reunions to campaign trails to career-advice calls, the Flinn Scholars community kept showing up no matter where he was. Even as a recent Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University, there was a serendipitous meeting with Chad Futrell, the former organizer of the Flinn China trip, now assistant dean of the college.

In the latest Alumni Voices Q&A, Jordan shares about his time in Beijing and rural China, how diverse interests enhance his development, and the impact of being a Flinn Scholar.

The application for the 42nd class is open through Oct. 13. Learn more about Jordan Harb and other young alumni. Link in comments.⬇️
