🗳️ Arizona voters will choose a governor this November. The race features incumbent Democrat Katie Hobbs and Republican challenger Andy Biggs.
With the election approaching, we wanted to look past the campaign ads and ask: What would be your top priority in the first month in office? Hobbs did not respond to our request for an interview. Biggs shared his priorities, including affordability, accountability, and preparing a legislative agenda.

Meet Ernie and Vanessa Ruiz. Following Ernie’s ALS diagnosis in 2023, the couple has become advocates in spreading awareness of the disease. Together, they have learned how to navigate this new journey with the help of jokes and laughter along the way.

🇺🇸 🏜️ 🔔 Arizona’s historic replica of the Liberty Bell is back in its permanent home after months of traveling to communities across the state to celebrate . Arizona Secretary of State and the Arizona America250 Commission thanked community partners and sponsors in a special rededication ceremony at the Arizona State Capitol Thursday evening.

The 2,000-pound bell was the centerpiece of the Commission’s Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum, which kicked off in February and toured all 15 Arizona counties. The bell is an exact replica cast in France in 1950 during post-WWII patriotic savings bond campaign. While on the road, a new base and concrete foundation was constructed.

Arizona PBS is proud to have partnered with the Arizona America250 Commission and many other local organizations this past year in honoring America’s semiquincentennial and Arizona’s unique history of that time period and beyond.
