Students in EDU 353 practiced their oral reading skills as they developed interactive read alouds focused on history, geography, and anthropology in Pennsylvania. Together in Pinecone Patch by Thomas F. Yezerski helped students dig into social studies topics through historical fiction while reflecting on cultural conflicts in a coal mining town.

Students in Child and Adolescent Development recently completed mandalas to reflect on the influences that impacted their own upbringing. Ultimately, we know that our identity is in Jesus!

Thank you to Trevor, Music Ed major, and Tommy, Secondary Ed English major, for sharing at Academic Chapel today. Both students shared about some of the unique opportunities they have had to use their gifts and build their resumes as they prepare for a life of service and leadership.

We were so happy to welcome UVF 2008 alum, Christine Perera-Greene to campus yesterday. After obtaining her master's degree from Columbia University, Christine is now working with children who have special needs at Crossroads Christian Academy in Panama. There is so much you can do with an education degree from UVF!

At UVF, our students gain valuable hands-on experience! Meet senior Hannah Beuchel, who is student teaching while pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education with Dual Certification in Special Education.

Hannah shares, "The education department has taught me the skills I need to be a teacher who is prepared to meet the learning needs of diverse students, create meaningful curriculum, and to be the light of Jesus to every student I teach."
