This month we want to celebrate our award winning Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood Program Chairs! Since 2022, they have led our chapter programs with excellence and dedication - supreme service to all mankind personified. 💕💚 Thank you for all you do for , , and to uplift our local community! Congratulations on yet another successful program year. 🥳

Pink Tea roses to Lashawn Scroggins, RXO’s immediate former First Vice President, responsible for the Soaring Administration program implementation. Thank you for your vision, your leadership, and your advocacy. 💕💚

Cynthia Bruce, Clelia Ward-Wilson, Nicole Leyba - Advocate for Social Justice Co-chairman. ⚖️They are responsible for Expungement Fair for returning citizens, registering our young people at local high schools and universities to vote, and training our chapter and community members to be certified to register folks as well!

Monique Jackson - Enhance our Environment, Chair 🌱This committee is responsible for our tree planting and partnership with our Youth Leadership Institute our shred days, and transitioning our chapter to no bottled water served at chapter meetings!

Donna Holman El-Amin and Darlene Ham - Uplift Our Local Community, Co-chairmen lead our weekly tutoring sessions at Mary L. Winterling Elementary School, breast cancer walk💕, pancreatic cancer walk 💜, and our MLK day of service. 🖤✊🏾

Sharvon Woodard and Zelda McCormick - Build Our Economic Wealth, co-chairmen 💵💰. This committee leads our Black Dollar Days initiative, sources black owned vendors for all of our events, and keeps record of how much money we spend with black owned businesses all year round. 💚

Empower our Families | Youth Leadership Institute - Amata Anderson and Lequesha Davis, co-chairmen. This committee has led four rotations of a youth led leadership development program for middle-school aged scholars. 📚✏️ The scholars made their own decisions about what they wanted to see in the program and we made it happen!

Rho Xi Omega has had a Mental Health Committee 🧠💓for some time. Under the Soaring Administration, we were able to continue that work under Empower Our Families

Every June, AKA RXO proudly commits to Wearing Pink 🎀, Buying Black 🖤, Spending Green 💸, as we celebrate and support Black-owned ✊🏾 businesses in our community.

Each Friday this month, the Build Our Economic Wealth Committee will host a pop-up at a local Black-owned business, and we’re kicking things off with an incredible family-owned gem!

Join us tomorrow at Shugga Mama Treatz, owned by Soror Dawn Faulks, a Black-owned family business and the only family-owned shaved ice stand in Owings Mills. 🍧✨
