For nearly nine years, PetWise Professionals has been helping Moore County pets stay happy, comfortable, and cared for, right at home. 💙

Founded by Moore County native Anna Vermeulen, PetWise has grown from a one-person operation into a team of trained pet care professionals providing dog walking, travel pet care, grooming add-ons, senior pet support, and care for animals of all kinds. 🐶🐱🐴

Sandhills Community College is excited to announce the new Workforce Trades Building – Hoke in Raeford, expanding access to hands-on skilled trades training for the community.

Launching this fall:
🔧 Small Engine Repair – Learn skills in disassembly, inspections, cleaning, and repairs of small engines.
⚡ Electrical Level 1 – Gain foundational electrical skills, safety knowledge, and hands-on training for a high-demand career field.
📍 Located at 2550 Aberdeen Road, Raeford, NC
Additional training opportunities, including welding and HVAC, are expected in the future.

October 9th at 9:00 a.m., the Moore County Chamber in partnership with Sandhills Community College , Moore County Economic Development Partnership and Moore County Schools will be hosting our Annual Talent Symposium. The symposium, titled "Leading with Employee Mental Health in Mind: Practical Strategies for Workplace Well-Being," will provide employers, managers, HR professionals, nonprofit leaders, and community stakeholders with practical tools to address one of today's most significant workforce challenges. Participants will gain insights into current workplace mental health trends, leadership strategies, practical tools, and actionable steps that can be immediately implemented within their organizations.

Our speaker, Dr. Marie-Line Germain is a Professor of Human Resources and Leadership at Western Carolina University, an award-winning author, researcher, workplace consultant, and host of the Dear Human Resources podcast. You will not want to miss out!
