A Garden Journey Through 1776 begins at the Sandhills Horticultural Gardens. Over the next several weeks leading up to the Fourth of July, explore how plants, agriculture, and the natural landscape shaped life in early America and right here in the Sandhills. From Indigenous farming traditions to native longleaf pine forests, each stop along the journey tells a piece of the story.
