Open House for Quantum Science Master's Program

Description: The Master’s Program of Physics/Quantum, a two-year (36-credit) curriculum, immerses students in innovative topics ranging from theoretical issues – such as quantum error correction and strongly correlated quantum matter – giving you experience working on quantum circuits and simulators on a variety of quantum computing platforms, thereby immersing students in both theoretical concepts and experimental techniques.

Time: May 2, 2025 11:00 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

To join the open house, please see Zoom info at https://physics.rutgers.edu/quantum-science-masters-program

An international team of scientists led by Rutgers University-New Brunswick astrophysicist Blakesley Burkhart has discovered a potentially star-forming cloud that is one of the largest single structures in the sky and among the closest to the sun and Earth ever to be detected.

Eos is a newly discovered molecular cloud sitting just 94 pc from the Sun. It was detected through the far-UV emission of its molecular hydrogen, having been missed in conventional molecular gas surveys due to a low abundance of common gas tracers.
