Seniors –

I hope to see you all at the RBS Convocation tomorrow! Please see below for some important information.

Diploma Application: Your diploma application will remain pending until your FINAL grades are submitted and you are officially certified to graduate. This will only occur AFTER the graduation ceremony (considering the nature of the academic calendar).

Final Senior Certification: Final, official graduation certifications will occur after all grades are submitted and your cumulative GPA is available. You will receive a confirmation email from me once you have officially been certified to graduate and your degree is posted on your final transcript. Please allow anywhere from 10-20 business days for this confirmation (post-graduation).

Accounting Majors: We are aware that accounting majors need their degrees posted earlier due to CPA requirements. Therefore, once final grades and cumulative GPA’s are available (approximately 7-10 business days following graduation), accounting majors are among the first to be reviewed and certified for graduation. Following this process, you will receive an email stating that your final transcript with degree(s) posted is available. There are generally no issues with this timeline (specifically for CPA candidates) so please be patient and you should not have issues applying for the CPA exam.

Issues with Graduation: You have already been contacted by me (via email) if there were any issues with your coursework/anything preventing you from graduating. If you have not heard by this point, you can assume that you’re set to graduate, pending successful completion of your courses this semester.

Transcripts: You are permitted to order final transcripts on your own. This is a self-service. Please visit the website transcripts.rutgers.edu for more information. You can also obtain enrollment verification letters from this same website.

Summer Courses: If you are declared a May 2015 graduate and are planning to take courses over the summer session in order to finish your degree, you MUST reclassify to an October 2015 graduate. October grads are permitted to walk in the May graduation ceremony, but your diploma and final transcript will be dated October 2015. You are allowed to take up to 12 credits during the summer session.

Walking at graduation: You are allowed to walk in the May 2015 graduation ceremony if you are a January 2015 grad, a May 2015 grad, or a pending October 2015 grad.

University Commencement: Information on the University Commencement can be found here: commencement.rutgers.edu. Please visit this website for details. Names will not be called at the University Commencement ceremony. You will need to register for parking. The commencement website has all this information, and more!

Guests: You are allowed to invite as many guests as you’d like to both the RBS Convocation Ceremony and/or the University Commencement. There is no limit on the number of guests you may bring.

Graduation Regalia: Caps/gowns/tassels can be purchased at the Barnes and Nobles Bookstore through the day of graduation. Mention that you are a Rutgers Business School grad at the time of purchase. Please contact them for more information.

The diploma deadline has been extended. May 2015 grads: If you have not already done so, you must apply for your diploma ASAP! If you do not apply for your diploma -- YOU WILL NOT GRADUATE!

Graduation Invitations and senior t-shirt pick-up is from April 29th and ends on Friday, May 1st. Pick-up will be located at 100 Rock in front of the Concierge’s desk near the grand staircase. You may come between the hours of 1:00-5:00 p.m. on any of those days, so please plan accordingly.

Please note that both the RBS Undergraduate EBI survey that was emailed to your Rutgers email account at the end of March and the OCM survey that can be accessed via https://biz-rutgers-csm.symplicity.com/, must be completed prior to picking up your invitations and t shirts.

Advising hours for seniors will be cancelled on Thursday, April 23rd. Advising hours will be held on Friday, April 24th between 10-11:30 and 2-3.

This is a reminder to make certain that you check the prerequisites for ANY course that is required for your major so that you are taking them in the proper sequence. You will not be able to graduate on time if you do not! For example, 33:390:380 Investment Analysis is a prerequisite for 33:390:420 Futures and Options. Plan ahead! The prerequisites are all listed on the online schedule of classes.

MAY 2015 GRADS: APPLY FOR YOUR DIPLOMA STARTING TODAY!!!

The Online Diploma Application is now open! Please follow this link: https://www.ugadmissions.rutgers.edu/DIPLOMA/Login.aspx… to fill out your application.
YOU MUST COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION BY May 1, 2015.

•This is the only application you’ll need to fill out for graduation.
•It is required that you complete this application in order to receive your diploma.
•October 2015 grads (Summer grads) should NOT fill out this application at this time.

Dear Seniors -- Felicia's advising hours will be cancelled on Wednesday, March 25th in the afternoon only. There were also be no advising hours on Thursday or Friday of this week. Walk-in advising hours will resume on Monday, March 29th from 9-11:30 and 2-4.
