This is a research based project by Adam Block, student of Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. The results of this research project will help spearhead the foundation of creating a business to help farmers, ranchers, construction and future development, and much more across the United States, all with the aid of unmanned aerial technology. For farmers, the use of "digital mapping" wil

l aid in the development of healthy crops and eliminating the opportunity of parasite-infestation, drought, lack of water concentrations, and much more to increase healthy crop and plant yield. Adam Block is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communication, with an emphasis in Human Communication, with a minor in military science. He plans on also pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in the communication field as well. "I've grown up in an agricultural-driven environment, and I realize how important it is to be successful at your trade. I can do just that with my skills, along with the help of drones. I have a lot to bring to the table, and I'm excited to see where this dream takes me." -- Adam Block, 2020

What is this a picture of? — This is an infrared image of a field. This image, alone, is an amazing tool for any farmer, rancher, or agriculturally driven individual who wishes to promote their given crop.

What do the colors in this image mean? These colors represent radiation, as well as the temperature and concentration of heat, and plant-killing agents. Red colors represent a greater amount of radiation/heat bouncing off of the soil, meaning that these plants in this given area may be sparse, and not as healthy. Contrary, the green/yellow colors are generally a reassurance that plants are healthier, and more prosperous.

Drones can retrieve a “bird’s eye” view of thousands of acres in a matter of minutes, rather than aimlessly walking and manually surveying millions upon billions of plants, of which may take much longer. Whether it’s as small as 5 acres, or as large as 5,000 acres, drones similar to the DJI Inspire 1 can effortlessly capture stellar shots. Such aerial technology can be outfitted with Infrared cameras to pinpoint healthy crops VS. what crops and plants need improvement. Studies have proven that this method can save farmers up to thousands of dollars in the long run, and offer healthier plants and encourage a greater crop yield.
