The Center for Mindfulness and Consciousness Studies invites you to consider that the practices of nonviolence, loving-kindness, and mindful consideration toward our communities can be enacted by getting vaccinated against COVID-19 and encouraging vaccinations for everyone 5 years and older. Vaccines are safe and effective, they are the best way to protect your loved ones and community, and the COVID-19 vaccines are a simple, responsible way that you can help end the COVID-19 epidemic.

Regarding the 2020 CMCS Mindfulness Fair

Dear CMCS members, friends, and community,
At the direction of the University and in the interest of the safety and health of our community, the 2020 CMCS Mindfulness Fair is now cancelled for the spring. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the organizers of our Fair, especially lead organizer Bonnie Weiss, as well as all those who had so generously agreed to serve as speakers, session leaders, panelists, table hosts, and volunteers. Together, this would have been a tremendous event, and it is our hope that the spirit of it will continue in our Pittsburgh community and inspire further compassion and understanding… especially during this fraught time. We extend our thanks to everyone who was planning to attend, first for your enthusiasm and now for your understanding, and we hope to see you and work with you again at a later date.

Wishing you peace and health,
The Center for Mindfulness and Consciousness Studies
University of Pittsburgh
