Hi, my name is Hannah! Since graduating from Duquesne University, I went on to get my MFA in Fiction at Bowling Green State University where I found a passion for teaching writing. I have now returned to Duquesne as an adjunct professor where I teach first-year composition (Bridges 101) and Fiction Workshop. When I am not teaching, I am pursuing my writing, and I am currently working towards a short story collection. My work has been featured or is forthcoming in Fractured Lit, Fiction on the Web, and Whale Road Review.

My time at the Writing Center instilled a love of tutoring and teaching that I still carry with me through my work today. I often find myself thinking about tutoring and pedagogical approaches I learned in Dr. Purdy's professional development sessions and through practice in the Writing Center. The Writing Center is where my love of teaching began, so I am very grateful for my time there.
