We’re back for another week of Friday Night Lights!

Best of luck to Brashear High School as they take on Martins Ferry High School tonight in Martins Ferry, Ohio!

MSAT students Alexandra Miehl and Emma Brown from Duquesne are getting another opportunity to experience Friday night football and learn alongside Jordyn Collier, Brashear’s athletic trainer.

Have a great night and best of luck to everyone on the sidelines!

Friday Night Lights were rolling last week as MSAT-2 student Jacob Bundrick spent Friday night on the sidelines with ATP alum Josh Miller and the Fox Chapel season opener. Check out the group below meeting before the game for their medical time out so ensure the team is ready for any injury or emergency during the game.

Shoutout to JP, who continues to be an outstanding preceptor, mentor, and asset to our students and the athletic training community. We’re grateful for the time and expertise he continues to share with our students.

And, of course, congratulations to the Fox Chapel Foxes on opening the season with a WIN! 🦊

More student game-day experiences coming soon!

Our MSAT-2 students Valentina Rossi and Rachel Hare traveled with the team to Staten Island, New York, this weekend for their first football game and first team travel experience of the season.

And what a way to start, as RMU came home with the WIN!

These opportunities give our students an incredible look at the role of an athletic trainer beyond the sidelines, while learning alongside experienced clinicians and becoming part of the team.

A big thank you to preceptors Nate Dudzic and Alliya Duritza for providing mentorship and supporting our students throughout the experience.

It’s Friday Night Lights!

Best of luck to all of the athletic trainers on the sidelines tonight, and a special shoutout to our students getting their first taste of gameday! These are the experiences that make clinical education so meaningful and give our future ATs the opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of the team.

If you see our students out there, tag them and show them some love!

A big thank you to Kelsey Cowles, Rose Turner, Alexi Zukas the Pitt Health Sciences Library team for helping our students take anatomy learning to the next level!

Our students had the opportunity to explore anatomy-focused technology, including the Anatomage Table and virtual reality goggles, creating an interactive and immersive experience that brought anatomy to life in a whole new way.

Experiences like these provide our students with innovative ways to visualize, explore, and better understand the human body as they prepare for careers in healthcare.

We’re excited to get to know this group, support them along the way, and watch them grow into the next generation of athletic trainers.
