BCC is closed today in observance of Juneteenth, but we invite you to join us in honoring Black freedom, culture and history this Sunday, June 21 at the NAACP-Berkshire County Branch Juneteenth Celebration.

BCC is partnering with the NAACP-Berkshire County Branch for a free public Reading Frederick Douglass Together event, supported by a Mass Humanities grant with funding from Mass Cultural Council.

The community reading of Frederick Douglass’s 1852 speech, “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” will take place during the NAACP-Berkshire County Branch Juneteenth Celebration at noon at Durant Park in Pittsfield.

Join us as we read, reflect and gather in community.
