Centralized in 1946, the Pittsford Central School District is one of the top school districts in the county, the state and the nation. The 30 square miles that comprise the school district include portions of the towns of Pittsford, Perinton, Penfield, Victor, Mendon and Brighton. The district's programs, staff and curriculum are considered among the best available in schools anywhere. Over 1,150

employees including teachers, administrators, and support staff provide quality services for an enrollment of approximately 6,040 students in nine school buildings.

Congratulations to Sutherland High School student Ainsley Teeters, who was nominated for the Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Stars of Tomorrow New York City Bound Competition. Selected for her participation in Sutherland's production of Footloose, Ainsley made it to the final round and sang as one of the top 10 finalists. She was among just 40 students nominated for the Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Stars of Tomorrow New York City Bound Competition.

Congratulations to Mendon High School students Addie Schulitz and Lily Archer, who were recognized on May 20, 2026, as two of just 40 students nominated for the Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Stars of Tomorrow New York City Bound Competition. Their nominations were earned through standout auditions during Mendon Theatre’s production of Ride the Cyclone.
Addie Schulitz was also named a Top 20 performer and had the opportunity to perform before a panel of Broadway professionals for a chance to represent Rochester at the prestigious Jimmy Awards in New York City this June. She was selected as one of Rochester’s two official 2026 Jimmy Award nominees.
