Nazareth University Bands The Wind Studies department has a variety of ensembles for all students at Nazareth University. The Wind Symphony is open to all majors at Nazareth College.

The ensemble is dedicated to presenting an exciting variety of works from all musical periods, cultures and styles, featuring both core and contemporary repertoire, and new pieces by emerging composers. They perform 2-3 concerts each semester in Glazer Center for Performing Arts as well as concerts off campus. Concerts are free and open to the public. In addition, this ensemble also frequently tou

rs throughout the region and has been invited to perform for the College Band Directors National Association Eastern Division conference, the New York State Band Directors Association Conference and the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Conference. Rehearsal Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.; Fridays 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Nazareth College Symphonic Band is an ensemble of music and non-music majors at Nazareth College. It is open to all Nazareth students and the greater Rochester community regardless of major. The Symphonic Band is dedicated to presenting concerts of high-quality band repertoire and providing an opportunity for all Nazareth College students to perform. They perform 2-3 concerts each semester in Glazer Center for Performing Arts which are free and open to the public. Rehearsal Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. The Night Flyer Band meets one day a week on Wednesday nights from 7:15pm-8:15pm and is open to all majors, music majors on their secondary instruments, as well as Nazareth staff, faculty, and community members. This ensemble performs lighter selections in a concert once a semester.
