You're cleared to plant in most areas of the Tahoe Basin. The threat of freezing temperatures exists year round here, but in most cases, by mid-June, even tomatoes, squah, peppers, and tender annual flowers like fuschia and impatiens, can be planted outside and enjoyed for the next three months! This month, please join us for the Home Grown Tahoe class on summer vegetables (see our newsletter), and look for us at the El Dorado County Farmers' Market in South Lake Tahoe. We will also be participating in many summer community events and are always happy to answer plant questions and offer advice.
