Well, not sure the book 2001 cleared up anything from the last quarter of the movie, but all of us were glad we watched the movie tonight and read the book. Anyhow... on Wed. October 7, 2026 at 7:30 pm the Central NJ Book Club will hold our next meeting in the basement of Jerusalem Lodge #26, in Plainfield NJ - this time covering the play "Faust: Part I" by Bro. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Maybe I should put on my devil's horns and make a bargain with you to be there... of course you have to read the play as part of the deal. 😈

The Central NJ Book Club book this month is 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke. This month we'll be watching the movie rather than our usual question-led discussion, on Wed. Sept. 2 at 7 pm at Jerusalem Lodge No. 26. Come on by!

Jerusalem Lodge No. 26 at 105 E. Seventh Street in Plainfield will be hosting a blood drive on behalf of New Jersey Blood Services on August 9, 2026 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
