The Abraham Art Gallery is delighted to open the first exhibition of the new season, “Yuyi Morales: Soñadoras” featuring the original paintings and prints by the artist. The exhibit, in partnership with the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature, will be open September 8 through October 30, 2026.
Morales grew up in Xalapa, Mexico and is influenced by her cultural heritage, family and experiences as a mother and an immigrant. Many of her original works are acrylic, but she also enjoys incorporating mixed media techniques to create dynamic and vibrant stories through her art as well as her writing. Escape the heat and come enjoy this beautiful exhibit – we hope to see you soon!!!
