ARE YOU PLANNING ON AUDITIONING TO BE A DRUM
MAJOR OF THE 2026 MARCHING PIONEERS?

The materials for the audition for drum major of next year’s Marching Pioneers are available in Doudna 180 in beside the mailboxes. Please be prepared for the auditions which will be held in Doudna 177 starting at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15th. The MP drum majors are much more than mere timekeepers. Memorize the score, be as dynamic as you can, take some risks, and show some appropriate style!! Please see Matt Gregg with any questions or concerns.

** The results of the drum major auditions as well as next year’s section leaders will be posted on the bulletin board outside Doudna 176 by Thursday, April 16th. If you would like to be considered for any of these positions, please get your forms in to me ASAP!!

Attention Marching Pioneers family! We will be performing the national anthem at the Milwaukee Brewers game against the St. Louis Cardinals on the evening of Saturday, September 26th in Milwaukee. The UW-Platteville Alumni Association will be organizing an outing for the game. Be on the lookout for an announcement about the alumni event this summer. Go Brewers and Go Marching Pioneers!!

For all you Packers fans out there who may have been concerned: There will be a TV playing the Packers game at the SAI sponsored Spaghetti Luncheon this Sunday afternoon.

We are headed into a busy schedule this weekend. Hope you can join us for the game on Saturday afternoon and Last Blast on Sunday morning. Here is the breakdown:

Saturday, November 1

*10:30 am - March of Champions (drumline)*

Noon - Warm up in full uniform

12:30 pm - Concert on the hill

12:40ish - March to stadium

12:50 - Pregame performance

1:00 - Kickoff

2:15ish - Halftime performance

4:00ish - end of game

Sunday, November 2

8:00 am - Rehearsal at Williams Fieldhouse

10:00 am - Last Blast Performance at Williams Fieldhouse

11:30ish - End of concert - Load everything back into shed

Also, Sigma Alpha Iota is hosting an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Luncheon from 2-4 pm this Sunday at St. Augustine's Church on campus to raise money for music scholarships. Please feel free to attend and bring the whole family following Last Blast! Price is $5 for students, $7 for community and $1 off for anyone wearing Packers or Panthers jersey.
