$1 million in new grants for Urban Environmental Education Centers is critical to New York State's efforts in combating climate change. The new grant opportunity for Urban Environmental Education Centers, administered by DEC, supports the Governor's environmental justice platform and promotes education. These grants are available for community-based organizations to develop environmental education centers in urban areas to educate residents about their environment, ecology, environmental justice challenges, green technology, and urban environmental sustainability.
