The Environmental Consortium of Colleges & Universities was established in 2004 to advance our understanding of the cultural, social, political, economic and natural f

actors affecting the Hudson-Mohawk River Watershed. By promoting collaboration among its members, the Consortium works to provide ecosystem-based curricular and co-curricular programming aimed at improving the health of the regional ecosystem. Spearheaded and hosted by Pace University, the Consortium’s headquarters is situated within the Dyson College Institute for Sustainability and the Environment in Pleasantville, New York.

$1 million in new grants for Urban Environmental Education Centers is critical to New York State's efforts in combating climate change. The new grant opportunity for Urban Environmental Education Centers, administered by DEC, supports the Governor's environmental justice platform and promotes education. These grants are available for community-based organizations to develop environmental education centers in urban areas to educate residents about their environment, ecology, environmental justice challenges, green technology, and urban environmental sustainability. The grant opportunity is available on the New York State Grants Gateway (Grant ID: DEC01-EJ-2017). Applications are due February 2, 2018 at 3 p.m.
