Each dorm at FLBC is split into sections, with a dorm assistant (DA) pouring into the students on their wing all year long—through time together and weekly devos.
Sarah Duffy just wrapped up her first year serving in the dorm, and she loved getting to know every girl in this photo (plus, a whole lot more). If you’ve met Sarah, you know… you just can’t help but love her! 💛

“Being a DA has been such a blessing in my life, and the Lord has grown me so much through this ministry! Being used by the Lord in this position has been so humbling and such a gift. As a DA, I have been blessed with the opportunity to be pouring into these girls, loving them, serving them, and praying for them. I have loved getting to know all of the girls, not just on my wing but in the whole dorm. I am looking forward to how the Lord will continue to work in this ministry next year as we welcome a new class of Bible College students!” - Sarah

It’s been another couple of fun and impactful days of summer teams training! Michelle has been guiding teams through curriculum, Madi equipped them with tools to craft a powerful testimony, Adam shared insights on camp ministry, and Dalton encouraged them in how to represent FLBC well as they travel this summer.

We are so thankful for the many guest speakers who give their time each year to invest in these students during training week!

Making decisions related to college, career, and community are difficult. Learn more about how FLBC changed the trajectory of alumnus Justin Hunt's life and prepared him in Jesus Christ for service to his family and the National Guard.

"I genuinely believe that, had I not attended the Bible school, I don’t think I would have been the person I was when (I met) my wife.”

Introducing "Dr." Andrew Kneeland 🎓

He just earned his PhD in Historical Theology from Concordia–St. Louis! His dissertation was titled, "Losing the Body: Tracing Corporeality as a Component of the Image of God Through Early Christian Exegesis." Many think being made in the image of God is a just a spiritual reality, but some early Christians thought it also referred to our physical, flesh-and-bones bodies. The incarnate Jesus is THE image of God (Col. 1:15) and church fathers like Ireaneus thought that when God said "Let us make man in our image" he was even then thinking of Christ.

Andrew looks forward to more family time, fixing his car, and maybe a new book project. 👀

Dr. Nathan Olson has been teaching at FLBC since 2020. When asked to reflect on a favorite memory from the year, he shared:

"One of the teaching tools that I have tried to religiously implement in the classroom is the incorporation of peer share moments. Students take 90 seconds and turn to their neighbor to think through and process what they are learning. Classroom studies have shown that when students not only hear information, but also process it and articulate it for themselves, they cement it deep within their soul. Looking out and seeing students not only hearing information, but personalizing it, will always be a highlight for me."

As a recent FLBC graduate, Emma shared this reflection from one of her spring classes that left a lasting impression:

“In Apologetics, Dr. Gudim talked about how the universe is precisely calibrated in many ways—not only to support the existence of life, but to exist at all. If any of those calibrations were different, life, or even the universe itself, wouldn’t be able to exist. It’s a powerful reminder that God is intricate and intentional in His creation, and that everything in creation points back to Him and His existence.”
