The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health is instrumental in supporting our Idaho Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Scholars' training in Idaho's rural towns.

AHEC provides healthcare students opportunities to train in rural areas, develop professional networks, and engage with the community. Through the foundation, students who normally wouldn't be able to move for their clinical rotations can receive the financial support they need to pursue rural training.

The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health has been supporting creating a healthier Idaho for 25 years. This week, they dropped by to celebrate!

Through the foundation's generous donations, we can provide scholarships to aid students on their journey to becoming a healthcare professional.

Those scholarships support:

- Students pursuing behavioral health degrees, such as counseling.
- Travel and housing expenses for students to train in rural hospitals and clinics.
- Career exploration opportunities for local middle and high school students interested in going into healthcare.

Congratulations to the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health for 25 years of impact! We look forward to continuing bringing health sciences education to Idaho together.

The Department of Counseling hosted  our first Annual Interprofessional Behavioral Health Job Fair on April 8thon Pocatello and Meridian Campuses! We had 24 sites represented as this Job Fair. Our goal is to connect our students with existing community resources for their clients and offer a chance for them to learn about internship, career, and other professional development opportunities through these local organizations.
