Criminal Justice Professor
College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in its criminal justice department. Master’s degree in criminal justice or a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with significant criminal justice experience required. An earned doctorate is preferred. The successful candidate will possess (or be willing to earn) state certification(s) as an instructor in Missouri POST. Experience in law enforcement or corrections is preferred. Responsibilities include teaching courses in criminal justice, academic advising, assisting with physical training, and supervising student workers. Ability to teach introductory political science courses a plus.
The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission and demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate students, a commitment to serving as a mentor and positive role model, and an interest in the relationship of criminal justice and Christian faith.
