Making every step safer! 🦶💙

Yesterday, WesternU CPM alumna Dr. Reina Deogracias, DPM ’13, joined forces with Dr. JD Shih of Keck Medicine of USC, an alumnus of Samuel Merritt University College of Podiatric Medicine, to represent their respective institutions at the City of Inglewood’s Blue Zone Pilot Program.

Together, they collaborated to educate older adults on ways to reduce their risk of falls and stay safe, active, and independent. 🙌

Proud to see podiatric physicians working together to make a difference in their communities! 💙💛

👣 From the Gait Lab to real patient impact!

Yesterday, our DPM 2028 students returned for their second custom orthotics session with Dr. Arnold Ross, continuing their hands-on learning in orthotic fabrication and biomechanics. 🦶

Students also witnessed how this knowledge translates to patient care as Dr. Ross customized orthotics for a WesternU employee experiencing foot and back concerns. She was walking with immediate relief! 🙌

Another great example of how biomechanics and custom orthotics can make a difference, one step at a time.
