The spring semester and Commencement may be over, but our work is never done!

Our students, faculty, and staff are hard at work at the LA County Fair this month, running the petting farm; giving presentations about animals, bees, native plants, and soil science; and telling stories and answering questions about farming.

Come see us in the Red and Green Barns! Don't forget: Cal Poly Pomona Day at the Fair is Monday! The Bronco Pep Band is scheduled to perform at the Big Red Barn at 3 p.m.

Best of luck to nutrition/dietetics major Ricardo Vargas, who will represent Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships!

Vargas will compete in the 10,000-meter run. The junior is one of three Cal Poly Pomona students who qualified for the championships, which are being held in Emporia, Kansas.

Congrats to Susan Kellogg Bell, great-great-granddaughter of W.K. Kellogg, and a longtime supporter of Cal Poly Pomona!

The Huntley College will honor Kellogg Bell with an honorary doctorate at its commencement ceremony on Sunday.

A fashion executive who is also active in the equestrian community, Kellogg Bell has supported the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center and our Department of Apparel Merchandising and Management, serving on its advisory board.

She is also a member of the Cal Poly Pomona Philanthropic Foundation Board.
