Project Title: The Effect of Noise on Autonomous Race Car Lap Completion Times
Abstract:
“This paper investigates the effect of LiDAR noise on the performance of an autonomous race car in the F1TENTH gym simulator. A navigation algorithm was created using ROS2, incorporating emergency braking, wall following, and a follow the gap algorithm along with mapping and path planning. Gaussian noise was artificially introduced into LiDAR range measurements at different levels to evaluate its impact on lap completion time and success rate...”

Project Title: Investigating the Effects of Garlic on Cell Signaling Leading to LPS-induced TNF- α Secretion in Murine Macrophages, J774A.1 and RAW264.7
Abstract:
“Garlic (Allium sativum) is known to have diverse health benefits, including antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and immunomodulatory effects. The immunomodulatory effects of garlic include modulation of cytokine production by immune cells, such as macrophages. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) is a key cytokine produced by macrophages when stimulated with pathogenic agents, such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS), an outer membrane component of Gram-negative bacteria. In this study, J774A.1 and RAW264.7 murine macrophage cell lines (6.25×10^4 cells/ml) were treated with LPS (1ng/mL, 10ng/mL, or 100 ng/mL) in the presence or absence of aqueous garlic extract (1:500)...”
