Interested in helping out a new compost collection program at the Clallam County Fair? And getting a FREE DAY PASS while you're at it!? We're launching a food waste collection effort to divert some of the huge amounts of the organic waste generated at Fair from the landfill and into compost. We need volunteers to help fairgoers sort their waste at our station outside the Ag Barn - in exchange for a 3hr shift, you get a FREE day pass to the Fair! Send us an email to grab a time slot and get some easy training on compost sorting - and we'll see you at the Fair!

🚨ANIMAL HEALTH ALERT🚨
USDA APHIS confirmed classical scrapie in a sheep slaughtered in a facility in Oregon.

APHIS and state animal health officials recently initiated an investigation to determine the flock of origin. The affected animal did not have an ear tag. This case is a reminder of why tagging compliance and surveillance participation are critical to safeguarding flocks nationwide.

Please read the full ASI press release here: https://champ.ly/XD8kUh9y.
For additional information regarding scrapie, visit: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/livestock-poultry-disease/sheep-goat/scrapie.

ASI will not be monitoring social media comments as the USDA investigation is ongoing.
