Lamar State College Port Arthur has been monitoring the potential weather and in the safety for our faculty, staff and students has decided to close campus on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. This closure includes all in-person, hybrid, and online classes.

Please join us in congratulating Chelsey Galloway on receiving the Spirit of Excellence Award at LSCPA's Convocation on August 17!

This award is a well-deserved recognition of someone who consistently goes above and beyond for our students, our college and our community.
In the classroom, she gives her students her very best - but her commitment doesn't stop there. She stepped up with out being asked to help with the Fourth of July celebration and helped make it a tremendous success.

That kind of initiative, dedication and willingness to serve is exactly what the Spirit of Excellence represents.
