Great fun meeting, talking with and cheering on students at Western Michigan University today at the university's largest Bronco Bash ever! It had a record 500-plus registered vendors at this annual event that kicks off the academic year. We also enjoyed much love from our fellow members of the National Panhellenic Council and other Greeks — and, of course, from our brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.!

WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR! The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.'s Rho Theta Zeta Chapter got an early start cheering students on by volunteering at Lincoln International Studies School's ice-cream social last Thursday in Kalamazoo, Michigan!

Our sorors helped greet students and families, directed them to resource tables, distributed books and bags, and served ice-cream and toppings.

The back-to-school event was filled with fun, community and connection! We’re especially proud that the initiative was hosted by Soror Layla Roberts’ mother, Dionna Roberts, the principal of Lincoln, a pre-K - 5 magnet school specializing in world cultures and languages, particularly Spanish.

On this day, we give honor and celebrate the birth of our triumphant founder, Viola Tyler Goings, as we continue to expand our footprint worldwide as a leading community-conscious, action-oriented organization affecting change.

It is because of the trailblazing forethought and determined ex*****on of an idea by five Howard University co-ed’s that Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, stands as one of the world’s most respected national panhellenic sororities today!

It was our pleasure to support the inaugural Northside Day Community Celebration today!

We were there from early morning to night, participating in the 5K Walk/Run at the start of the day, then closing things out by attending the Beats at Northside Alley finale event featuring a live band and DJ in the evening.

Hats off to Jonathan Yarbrough, executive director of the Northside Association for Community Development (NACD), his team, the volunteers and sponsors for showcasing what makes the Northside neighborhood special!

Well-done and a lot of fun!

FITNESS FRIDAY QUESTION: What's one thing you're doing (or can do) to stay healthy?

🥫 Remember, there's lots of FREE things you can do, even around the house. Run up and down your staircase! Do arm curls with canned goods! Lol.

💃🏽 Some of our chapter members have been doing urban line dancing! Thank you, NAACP-Metropolitan Kalamazoo Branch, for offering a free class at Urban Alliance for the community. We also walk with Run This Town Kalamazoo, as well as on our own.

🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️ If you need a free fitness idea, we recommend the two final sessions of Run This Town — 6 p.m. on MONDAY, AUG. 10 and MONDAY, AUG. 17 at Mayors' Riverfront Park in Kalamazoo.

Attendees run, walk or jog. It's up to you!
