When Dr. Jack Williamson retired from his position as Professor of English at Eastern New Mexico University in 1977, the university established a lectureship series in his honor - The Jack Williamson Lectureship. Ever since then writers, editors, agents, artists, and speakers have gathered at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales every year to share ideas, insights, and their work with their r

eaders, viewers, collectors, and fans. Held every spring on the ENMU campus, the Jack Williamson Lectureship includes a luncheon with presentations by guests, readings from the works of Jack Williamson, readings of their work by the guest of honor and other author attendees, time for book sales and signing, and panel discussions on a variety of science fiction and fantasy topics.

LIVESTREAM INFORMATION: Many of our lectureship events will be livestreamed via Zoom. The links have been added to the online schedule at www.enmu.edu/scifi and to our Facebook event page ("Featured" post above). Check the time and event title to be sure you've got the correct link. The link for the Saturday creative writing workshop will only be sent to those people who registered in advance. If a link is not provided, that event will not be livestreamed.

We'll do our best to manage all of the streams but please remember that the technology is not perfect and we are not professional streamers. We hope to post the videos online later and will share more information when that happens.
