Jack Williamson Lectureship

Jack Williamson Lectureship Watch this page for information about the next Jack Williamson Lectureship! All events are open to the public, and everything except the luncheon is free.

When Dr. Jack Williamson retired from his position as Professor of English at Eastern New Mexico University in 1977, the university established a lectureship series in his honor - The Jack Williamson Lectureship. Ever since then writers, editors, agents, artists, and speakers have gathered at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales every year to share ideas, insights, and their work with their readers, viewers, collectors, and fans. Held every spring on the ENMU campus, the Jack Williamson Lectureship includes a luncheon with presentations by guests, readings from the works of Jack Williamson, readings of their work by the guest of honor and other author attendees, time for book sales and signing, and panel discussions on a variety of science fiction and fantasy topics.

Happy Pride Month. 🌈

This month is a celebration of our community, our history, our resilience, and our joy. It’s a time to honor the generations of LGBTQIA+ people who fought for the rights and freedoms many of us enjoy today, while also recognizing that there is still work to be done.

Now more than ever, it’s important that we come together, support one another, and continue building a world where everyone feels safe, loved, respected, valued, and equal. Every person deserves the freedom to live authentically and be celebrated for exactly who they are.

From all of us at Rainbow Media Co. and our communities LGBTQ+, Pride and Gayety, Happy Pride Month. We see you, we celebrate you, and we're proud to stand with you. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
