Step into a world of color and texture! 🎨🧵 Runnels Gallery presents Fish, Faces, and Figures: Stitching in a Series, featuring fiber and soft sculpture by artist Linda Anderle. Her playful work uses needle and thread the way a painter uses a brush, and her message is simple: "Be more colorful, humorous, and unexpected."

On view through Oct. 24 at the Golden Student Success Center on the ENMU Portales campus.

Summer is over, but green and silver reign forever!

This summer, our Greyhounds came together for days filled with connecting, celebrating, fundraising, and learning! We were swinging clubs at the annual alumni golf tournament, raising over $50,000 in scholarship funds to support ENMU students who are children of alumni. We came together to cheer at football tailgates and enjoyed Eastern New Mexico University’s family weekend with a mix and mingle breakfast.

There have been so many reasons to gather!

We even raised a glass, and awareness, at Mammoths and Mocktails, bringing our alumni out to Black Water Draw for a night of learning and connecting.

Whether we were in the greens, around the table, or cheering from the sidelines, one thing stayed the same: Greyhounds showed up for each other! 💚🩶

Sirjustin Bowen (BS25) arrived at Eastern New Mexico University unsure of what his future would hold. After struggling academically, experiencing the isolation of remote learning, and taking a gap year to find a clearer direction, he knew he needed a place where he could reconnect with community and purpose.
At ENMU, he found it.

From his first time on the ENMU campus, Sirjustin saw students welcoming one another and creating a place where everyone could belong. Student leaders and campus mentors recognized his potential and encouraged him to get involved. Sirjustin found opportunities to serve the ENMU community through student government, build community as a hall director on campus, and grow into the leader he never imagined becoming.

His story is a reminder of what student success can look like. With a community willing to say, "we see something in you," our students gain opportunities and determine their futures. At ENMU, when we come together, students succeed. 💚🐾

🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Anu Ogunleye, assistant professor of Agriculture, on being named a recipient of the 2026 New Mexico EPSCoR Mentor Award! 🌾

This statewide honor recognizes educators who go above and beyond to guide and inspire students. Nominated by multiple students, Dr. Ogunleye is celebrated for making complex concepts approachable, creating hands-on learning experiences, and investing in student success.

Her philosophy says it all: "We rise by lifting others."
