Pride Month continues with Special Collections!

In August 1974, a small group of Mainers launched the Maine Gay Task Force Newsletter — the first gay newspaper in the state. It grew into Mainely Gay and went on to inspire over three dozen LGBTQ+ community publications across Maine, all preserved in our LGBTQ+ Collection.

Join us on Thursday, June 25, 5:30–7PM in the McGoldrick Center 2nd floor Salons for a panel discussion with the people who launched it. Hear the stories behind Maine's q***r publishing history and leave with a special 50th anniversary edition of Mainely Gay.

Free, open to the public, with refreshments!
