2026 MEMBERSHIP UPDATE

Thanks to everyone that has renewed or joined so far!! We appreciate your support! As an added benefit for being a member, we will be raffling off 5 bottles of Seven Bridges wine (a local Buckeye-owned winery) for the following games:

Texas- 2021 Equilibrium
Illinois- 2021 Instigator
Iowa- 2021 Equilibrium
Indiana- 2021 Collusion
Oregon- 2021 Equilibrium

Everyone that has renewed/joined since January 1st will be entered into the raffle – unpulled tickets will remain in the raffle until the Oregon game pull. You do not have to be present to win but we do not ship wine so you will have to make arrangements to pick your wine up locally. The link to join our club is located below.

For anyone that has renewed/joined since July 15th, please make sure that you have forwarded a copy of your receipt from OSUAA to [email protected]. We do not have access to their membership database and they only send us reports every 60 days or so. Thanks to everyone that has done this so far. It really helps!


I want to share some important changes to how the terms of annual membership to the Portland Buckeyes will be structured. In an effort to streamline our membership activities and make things more intuitive for our members, we are now implementing a new "membership year" that will run from August 1st - July 31st. This will enable all of our membership to have the same renewal dates, easing both administration for the club and predictability for our members. Here is what this means for you:
· All current memberships (paid on/after January 1, 2026) will expire on July 31st, 2027
· We are asking everyone to renew your membership as soon as possible. Your renewals now will extend your membership through July 31, 2027. Dues are $25 a year and are tax deductible. We do not offer a family membership so each adult person in your family should purchase an individual membership. All members will receive 3 free game watch raffle tickets this season.
· Please remember that there are many "members only" perks that the club provides, including access to game tickets, special membership events and drawings/raffles and extra game watch raffle tickets.

The Club is working hard on creating events that will keep us all connected and help us grow our community of Buckeyes here in the Portland/Vancouver metro area. We hope you'll all continue to join us at as many events as you can, and if you know other Buckeyes who aren't already members, please send them our way!

The 2026 Ohio State football season is here!! Please join us at the Independent Sports Bar and Grill on Broadway in downtown Portland for all of our 2026 games. Our first game in September 5th against Ball State kicks off at 9:30am Pacific. Doors open 30 minutes before kick-off. The Independent has a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu depending on the time of our game(s). They are also very family-friendly. We will have our usual raffle each game plus special fund-raising raffles fpr the big games with Jack Sawyer and Emeka Egbuka autographed items:

We have sad news to share… long time Portland Buckeye and OSU Alumni George McFadden passed away after a long illness. George was a kind-hearted and generous man and he loved kids. He would buy a $100 worth of raffle tickets and pass the tickets out to the kids at our game watches. He also generously donated to our annual toy drive for the Ronald McDonald House and to our scholarship program. George had his prominent seat every Saturday at the Blitz back in the day. He was close to the Norell family and he rarely missed a game.

Please keep George and his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers this weekend. RIP George!💔

We had a great turnout for our annual Community Service event at the Vancouver FISH food bank! We sorted 3 full pallets of donated food. Thanks to everyone that showed up to help! Buckeye Strong!🌰🌰💪🏼

UPDATED INFO:

A few quick reminders before you arrive at FISH on June 27th

Please have everyone park in our volunteer parking lot, which is located just past FISH on Harney Street. Drive past the FISH building and the gated lot, then turn left into the driveway. Park in the back area and walk through the gate.
Head to the second door and ring the bell. Clark will be there to welcome you, give your group a tour, and get everyone started.
For everyone’s safety and comfort:

Closed-toe shoes are required.
A light jacket is recommended, as the warehouse can sometimes be cool (though lately it’s been anything but!).
We’ll have water, coffee, and tea available, but bringing a reusable water bottle is always a great idea.
That should cover everything! We’re looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday, June 27th and appreciate you spending your time volunteering with us.

Please plan on helping us out at our annual community service event on June 27th! Go Bucks!!🌰🌰
