Leadership doesn’t always follow a straight line — and neither do the journeys of many of our students.
We’ve deeply valued the opportunity to work with Lloyd Duman and appreciate his commitment to North Idaho College and the students we serve at the NIC Workforce Training Center. As Gwen Cash-James progresses in the provost role, we’re excited to work with her and continue building opportunities that help all students move forward.
What makes both of their stories especially meaningful is that their paths to higher education and leadership weren’t necessarily traditional. That experience reflects the journeys of so many NIC students — people balancing work, family, unexpected turns and new beginnings while pursuing a better future.
We’re grateful for Lloyd’s leadership and look forward to working with Gwen in support of every student finding their own path to success.
Lloyd Duman and Gwen Cash-James say their unconventional paths shaped their approach to the job — one during a crisis, the other after it.
