Prairie View A&M University School of Public and Allied Health Our goal is to touch every community through local and global efforts.

The new School of Public and Allied Health will have a significant impact on undergraduate students in Texas by providing them with a comprehensive education in public health and allied health fields.Through courses on health promotion, disease prevention, epidemiology, and biostatistics, biomechanics students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to improve individual quality of l

ife and contribute to healthier communities. The school’s strategic location between the semi-rural area of Waller County and the urban center of Houston presents unique challenges and opportunities.Students will have the chance to address public health issues that vary in nature, from rural health disparities to urban health challenges, allowing them to gain practical experience in diverse settings. In essence, the new School of Public and Allied Health will serve as a vanguard for promoting health and well-being in Texas by training a new generation of public health professionals who can make a positive impact on the health of individuals and communities. As our students matriculate and graduate, they will be afforded opportunities to develop and implement initiatives and programs that benefit areas within a 10-mile radius of Waller County and beyond ensuring that every neighborhood feels the positive influence of our endeavors.
