Community churches are providing free lunches for students at our Prestonsburg, Mayo, and Pikeville campuses!

Lunch is served 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at each location.

Additional dates may be added throughout the semester, so be sure to check back for updates!

Make sure to visit The Nest each week to pick up a FREE pantry bag of food and other items. Our inventory changes often, but you may find school supplies, personal hygiene items, and cleaning products. We also have gently used professional clothing. If you’re on campus and need a snack, come in and grab a quick snack or a microwave meal.

Hours:
Monday & Wednesday: 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Thursday: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Pantry bags of food are also available at the Pikeville and Mayo Campuses in the library (Building A, Room 108A).

Dr. Ryan Quarles, President of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, and Dr. Samuel Todd Brand, Chancellor of Big Sandy Community and Technical College, led an open forum today on the Pikeville Campus.

The forum welcomed discussion from faculty, staff, and community members, providing an opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and discuss the future of BSCTC.

The forum was followed by a ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of the brand-new nursing education space. BSCTC is excited for the opportunities this space will bring students pursuing healthcare careers.
