Professor Neal Katyal, one of the nation’s preeminent litigators, will join us at Princeton to discuss his experience arguing race and civil liberties in the Supreme Court, following landmark rulings that upended legal president on affirmative action. He has argued more Supreme Court cases than any minority attorney in history, recently breaking the record held by Thurgood Marshall. In the most recent 2022-23 term alone, Professor Katyal argued five separate cases at the Supreme Court, representing nearly 10% of the docket.

He will join a panel of scholars – Sarah Staszak, Deborah Pearlstein, and Shaun Ossei-Owusu – for a wide-ranging discussion, moderated by Jim Zirin. This event is cosponsored by the School of Public and International Affairs.
