Earlier this week, Princeton University awarded an honorary degree to Jaynee LaVecchia — one of six distinguished honorary degree recipients recognized this year.

A lifelong public servant and trailblazing jurist, Justice LaVecchia served for more than two decades on the New Jersey Supreme Court, becoming the longest-serving female justice in the court’s history. Her deep commitment to New Jersey public service has spanned every level of state government — from serving as Commissioner of New Jersey State Department of Banking and Insurance and director of the State Attorney General’s civil division to leadership roles in the administrations of Governors Christine Todd Whitman, Tom Kean, and Phil Murphy.

Congratulations to Justice LaVecchia and all six honorary degree recipients. More here:

Students at The College of New Jersey and Princeton University will soon have the opportunity to expand their academic horizons through a new cross-registration agreement launching in fall 2026.

The five-year agreement between TCNJ and Princeton will allow eligible undergraduate and graduate students to enroll in select courses at the other institution during the fall and spring semesters at no additional cost. The collaboration is designed to complement each institution’s academic strengths and give students access to courses not available on their home campus: https://bit.ly/4tqr2le
