Brown Undergraduate Council of Students The Undergraduate Council of Students is a body of members committed to serving Brown’s undergraduate community.

Representatives from all four classes and a diverse area of interests work individually and collectively to propel short and long-term goals. The Undergraduate Council of Students and the Global Brown Center have been working to partner with Providence-based organizations and provide group discounts for fun activities.

On December 13, 2025, a mass shooting occurred at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Two students passed away, and nine were injured.

Of the nine injured, three of them were Chinese-American students who are still under intensive care. The families of these three children have come together to ask the community for financial support to cover medical expenses.

The members of Brown’s Undergraduate Council of Students (UCS) are in direct contact with these three families and are fundraising on behalf of two who expressed financial need.
