Join us on November 12 for the Distinguished Alumni Awards Reception, held during the second annual Frosted Lights celebration on the JWU Charlotte campus.

Together, we'll recognize Chayil Johnson '18 and Austin Scoles '18 for their outstanding contributions to their professions, communities and Johnson & Wales University.

Our new three-year bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management is the first of its kind in the Southeast! With Charlotte attracting more visitors and major events, the program is helping students get a head start on careers in the city’s growing hospitality industry.

For National Book Month, we're spotlighting Louise Barnett '12 MBA, author and mental health advocate, on the release of her new book, Tainted Love: A Bipolar Memoir.

Since earning her MBA from JWU, Louise has built a career spanning corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, coaching, podcasting and now authorship and mental health advocacy.

Part love story and part memoir, Tainted Love chronicles 15 years of living with undiagnosed Bipolar I disorder and its impact on relationships, addiction, identity, motherhood and recovery.

Diagnosed in 2015 after years of misdiagnosis, Louise has been sober since 2021 and now serves as a Jay Shetty-certified life coach, host of the I'm Bipolar. Now What? podcast, and advocate for a community of more than 100,000 people.

Already reaching #2 in the Bipolar Disorder New Releases category ahead of publication, her work and story have also been featured by major media outlets nationwide.

Congratulations, Louise, on sharing your powerful story and helping others through your advocacy and experience. 💙

Today, Johnson & Wales University joins communities across the country in recognizing Indigenous Peoples’ Day — a time to honor the histories, cultures and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples.

Through reflection, education and continued learning, we recognize the importance of Indigenous voices and perspectives and the ways they continue to enrich our communities and shape our shared future.

JWU campuses will be closed in observance of the holiday and will reopen Tuesday, October 13.
