An opportunity for Social Workers....Day One invites you to The Learning Series: Conversations That Matter, a space to learn, connect, and strengthen how we support children and families.

Our October two-part virtual series focuses on the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). We’ll start with how to identify warning signs and respond to disclosures, then explore online exploitation and emerging threats. Whether this is new to your work or you’re looking to deepen your knowledge, you’ll leave with practical ways to recognize concerns and connect youth with support.

Join us October 22 and 29, from 12:30–2:00 p.m. Register HERE or use the link on the attached flyer. Continuing education credits have been requested for social workers and have been approved for licensed mental health professionals.

Did you know the SWK Department has a student-led advisory board? 🎉

Throughout the year, our Advisory Board plans social work events, bring campus concerns and ideas to monthly board meetings, and uses the skills they’ve developed through their internships to help strengthen and bring our campus community together.

A special thank you to Margaret, Naya, and Adrienne for being change makers and making a difference in our community! ❤️
