What’s on a label should match what’s in the product. Beyond marketing, labels for cannabis products influence dosing, expectations and trust in the company that is producing them.

The data within this article points to the importance of having accurate testing requirements for cannabis products being commercially sold to the public and this includes hemp-derived C*D as well as flower and edibles containing THC.

One Colorado study found about 70% of cannabis flower samples to have less THC than stated, while another study of 75 different edible products from dispensaries along the West Coast noted only 17% of them were accurately labeled for THC content.

Cannabis edibles have a different onset and duration than inhaled products, which may complicate how impairment is understood.

This trial tested four doses of THC edibles in adults who regularly use cannabis. Simulated driving performance was impaired at 10 and 20 mg, while blood levels remained near or even below common legal thresholds.

These findings can help inform road safety discussions around how edible THC affects consumer impairment and how those effects are measured.

Researchers are studying how cannabinoid receptors may influence tumor cell behavior.

Using breast cancer organoids and preclinical models, researchers looked at how low dose cannabinoid treatments interacted with the endocannabinoid system.

This modulation of CB2R was linked to reduced cancer cell plasticity, invasiveness, and tumor initiating capacity.

Cannabis use is not just about whether someone uses it, but also how they use it.

NYU researchers found that adults using cannabis across multiple forms were more likely to report daily use and symptoms associated with cannabis use disorder.

For clinicians, asking how someone uses cannabis may be just as important as asking whether they use it.
