Hello Fellow Manhattanville Classmates,
Our 50th reunion is eight weeks away, June 17-19!! WOW!! It’s all amazing, exciting and truly something to celebrate. Your ‘72 Reunion Planning Committee, along with Polly Schmitz, Manhattanville Alumni Director, has been busy with plans to make our weekend special and memorable. We are looking forward to seeing so many of you and sharing where life has taken us over the past 50 years!!
Here’s a reminder and two new notes:
● REUNION YEARBOOK
You should all have received a Class of 1972 Reunion Yearbook form in the mail. The form is also available as an online version at alumni.mville.edu/1972 in the Reunion Yearbook section. We hope you will complete this information sheet as a way of sharing your Manhattanville life experiences with your classmates. Return it, with a photo, either online or in the mail. Every classmate who submits the form will receive a copy of the complete Reunion Yearbook, whether you are able to attend the reunion or not. Please submit your entry by May 1. It will be truly a delight to read the various paths we have traveled since Manhattanville…so…please submit yours! 🙂

● CLASS EVENT - “OUR NEXT CHAPTER”
We are excited about and still planning the traditional “Class Event” held the Saturday morning of our reunion weekend. With most of us now retired from our primary careers and having grown families, we are commencing or have jumped into a new chapter of our lives. Have you ventured into or expanded your scope in non profit, volunteering or philanthropic work, or become more socially or politically active in your communities? Have you taken on a second career as an entrepreneur? We are looking for 5 or 6 panelists who will offer to talk for 5 minutes about what they are doing and why they enjoy it. It could also be a good opportunity to advocate for your cause or organization. With a Q&A from the attendees, it promises to be lively, encouraging and inspirational!

● CLASS PHOTOS
Wouldn't it be great to share our old photos of Manhattanville days with each other? Fun in the dorm, activities on and off campus? Well, we can! The school archivist is creating a digital file for the class of 1972, to which we can all contribute and share. She is ready and eager for a deluge of photos. Seems that 1968-1972 is not very well documented via photographs, but we can change that. It is easy to share. Just take a picture of the photo(s) and use the link to attach and send it, with your name, email address, and brief information about the photo (who, where, what, when). • Reunion Mass: Join the Reunion Mass choir! Email Marianne Galvin '71 if you are interested.
• Reunion Accommodations Update! Note: If you are planning a hotel stay during reunion, please reserve your room soon. We are giving our 50th Reunion (and those who have celebrated their 50th Reunion) an opportunity to book hotels before we announce this in our general reunion email. Our hotels are asking our groups to book early as they have an increased demand for rooms. To reserve a room, you can click on the hotel name below or call the phone number provided.
