Visiting writer Mikael Awake rocked the Castle on Monday night. He gave us a sneak peek of PLAYGROUND MOVES, his forthcoming narrative history of Rucker Park and the rise of street ball. Beyond his stunning reading, he was generous in his answers to our questions about craft, process, and the writing life. Perfect first reader in our newly renamed INKWELL Reading Series. Enduring thanks to Mikael!
