Today, we honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose commitment to justice, service, and equality continues to guide our campus community.

On August 28, 1963, Dr. King altered the course of American history with his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the now-infamous March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Among the 200,000 Americans in the crowd that day were a small contingent of Manhattanville students, alumni, and faculty - proving that the Valiant Spirit is indeed rooted in generations of change-makers and community leaders.

This week, the Class of 2030 participated in Convocation, a cherished Manhattanville tradition. This event marks the start of a journey that will eventually come full circle at Commencement.
