10 years ago, the very first class of bachelor's degree graduates earned their degrees at Landmark College. Since then, the College has issued a total of 344 baccalaureate degrees.

One of those very first bachelor's degree graduates was Malcolm "Mac" Migel '16. Like many Landmark College Alumni, he can look back at his childhood report cards and see comments like, “Mac is very involved in class, but he’s highly distractible and inattentive.”

He was told to “try harder” — but “I was trying,” he said.

We're pleased to share that our campus footprint is growing. The College acquired 264 acres of abutting property earlier this month, including frontage on River Road and the Connecticut River. These acquisitions more than double the total acreage of Landmark's campus.

There are no present plans for the property, though opportunities will be explored as part of the College's ongoing strategic planning efforts.

President Jim Dlugos spoke with WCAX-TV about the acquisition:

Professionals expanding their knowledge of neurodiversity through the Landmark College Institute for Research & Training (LCIRT) certificate program now have the option to pursue an Individualized Master of Arts from Antioch University.

This master’s program is one of three at Antioch University that accepts credits from Landmark College’s postbaccalaureate Certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity (LDN) program.

The first of issue of the literary journal “Literate Activity: Perspectives on Textual Practices in the World,” which was co-founded by Landmark College's Assistant Professor of Writing Ryan Ware has been released. The journal seeks to “publish innovative scholarship that reflects the complexities of how people create, use, and act-with texts across lifeworlds,” said Ware.

LC student Talia Katz worked as an editorial and research assistant on the project.

The Employment Readiness Experience (ERE) is designed for students with little or no prior work experience, and gets them one step closer to landing an internship or job after Landmark College. ERE pairs an on-campus job experience with classroom work focusing on communication, professional skills, and career exploration, helping students acquire the soft skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

“Overall, the internship has strengthened my ability to adapt to change and organize my resources," said Noah Schulz, who interned with the Registrar's office this summer. "I've also built a much better work ethic as I've learned to be a more consistent and reliable employee. I also learned that I communicate most effectively when I am in a comfortable and open environment.”
